  DO NOT go to this facility! I arrived for my appointment early, as this was my first visit and wanted enough time to fill out paperwork. 3 HOURS LATER...i was finally called back. (I was 45 minutes early for my appt) Once I was back there, I had to wait even more before I was actually seen. The doctor was fine, but then they performed a procedure to get a baseline of my heartbeat. I was NOT told that this was a part of the physical. I was told that I needed to have this done since my mother had heart issues and needed bypass surgery at a young age. This was preventative to help prevent the same happening to me. They DID NOT tell me that they were going to have to get another doctor to to refer the simple procedure (they just hooked me up to an EKG for a few minutes) I thought all was fine and good until I got a bill stating my insurance wasn't going to cover this cost. The doctors at Strickland Family Medicine should have done a better job explaining that insurance may or may not cover and should have given me an option of whether or not I wanted this procedure done. Instead they deemed that it was medically necessary for me to have it done today...I couldn't wait for it. DO NOT go to this practice. Not only will they waste your time, but they will blindside you so they can get more money.
